VISAKHAPATNAM: Eight-year-old K. Goutam Kumar is attempting a unique feat to enter the Limca Book of Records on Thursday. The young lad studying in Std. VI in Guru CMF Public School at Vepagunta, would walk on his hands for a stretch of 5 km from Appu Ghar to the Kali Temple on the Beach Road. Trained by K. Easwar Rao and B. Pratap, instructors of Dragon Fist, a school of martial arts, Gautam will start his unique walk from 4 a.m. and intends to complete by 6.30 a.m. Addressing a press meet here on Wednesday, the instructors said Gautam joined their school a year ago to learn karate. Seeing his dedication and body flexibility, they put him on training for hand walking for the last six months. Easwar Rao informed that last year another young boy from their school, B. Krishna Jeswant, entered the Limca Book of Records for covering a distance of 5 km. by performing cart wheeling on single hand. The instructors said District Collector A.K. Singhal, Commissioner of Police N. Sambasiva Rao and Visakhapatnam-I MLA Dronamraju Srinivas will be present at the touch line.
