CHENNAI: Medium-pacer Mayank Jagdale (seven for 47) ripped through Tripura’s batting line-up in the second innings to set up a 10-wicket win for Madhya Pradesh on the third and final day of the Buchi Babu all-India invitation cricket tournament second round match at the ICL-Guru Nanak ground here on Wednesday, even as heavy rain disrupted play in some grounds and forced matches to be called off in others.
The Baroda-Gujarat match too had to be called off due to wet outfield without a ball being bowled. The two teams shared three points each. The scores: Tripura 219 & 145 in 39.3 overs (Mayank Jagdale seven for 47) lost to Madhya Pradesh 320 for nine & 50 for no loss in 11.2 overs. MP 8, Tripura 0. Karnataka 351 for five & 225 for four in 45 overs (C. Raghu 103 not out, Sudhindra Shinde 55) drew with Assam 203 & 21 for two in 11.5 overs. Karnataka 5, Assam 2. Rajasthan 270 for six drew with Punjab 15 for one in 5.4 overs. Rajasthan 3, Punjab 3. Baroda 330 for seven drew with Gujarat 87 for five in 45 overs. Baroda 3, Gujarat 3. TNCA XI 202 drew with Mumbai seven for no loss. TNCA XI 3, Mumbai: 3. Combined Districts 299 & 94 for three in 19.2 overs drew with Vidarbha 209 in 78.2 overs (S. Suresh Kumar six for 58).
