India ‘A’ triumphs

NAIROBI: India ‘A’ coasted to a nine-wicket win over Sri Lanka ‘A’ in the final of the three-nation tournament here on Wednesday.

Sri Lanka ‘A’ was dismissed for 165 in the 37th over, thanks to Yo Mahesh’s three wicket spell and two wickets from Praveen Kumar, Irfan Pathan and Pragyan Ojha.

Wicket-keeper Parthiv Patel had six victims, including a stumping.

India ‘A’ coasted to the target in only 25.5 overs with Cheteshwar Pujara and skipper Mohd. Kaif hitting unbeaten half centuries.

Pujara was declared the Man of the Match and Praveen Kumar the Man of the Series.
