Will there be elections to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation?
The time has come to pose the question since a cloud of uncertainty seems to have enveloped the air around New Delhi these days.
Whether the Left actually bites the bullet and withdraws support is a matter of conjecture but even otherwise there is every chance of the Congress to call for a snap poll, say political observers.
If that is the case where is the scope for holding local body polls here?
The delimitation of wards has just begun and it will be a while before they are finalised and till that the political equations might change.
One thing is for sure, the Congress can surely count on Majlis support if the Left moves away.
