Plea to take up road repair work

CHENNAI: Members of the Chennai Local Lorry Owners’ Association have appealed to the authorities concerned to immediately take up road repair work on the Maduravoyal-Koyambedu stretch and from Madhavaram to Moolakadai.

In a press release, the association also urged the State Government to relax the timings imposed on the movement of heavy goods vehicles. Association president S. Arulanandhu said that in the larger public interest, the authorities had permitted entry of heavy goods vehicles between 11.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. both ways between Maduravoyal and Madhavaram.
