Man run over by bus

CHENNAI: A 25-year-old man died on Lattice Bridge Road, Adyar while trying to cross the road on Thursday.
Police identified the victim as Sekar (25) of Injambakkam.
Interrogation
Police said they asked Sekar to come to the Adyar police station to interrogate him in connection with a case.
After completing the interrogation, he was allowed to return home.
The victim while trying to catch a bus crossed the road in a hurry and was hit by a car and then he was run over by an MTC bus.
Police said the victim’s relatives rushed him to a private hospital in Adyar, where he died later.
Police arrested the MTC driver and the body was removed to the Government Royapettah Hospital for post-mortem.
