Mohun Bagan to meet ONGC

NEW DELHI: Defending champion Mohun Bagan, along with East Bengal, JCT and Mohammedan Sporting, has been placed in the top half as the draw for the Federation Cup football tournament was made here on Thursday. The Federation Cup will be held at Ludhiana from September 4 to 15.

Bagan meets ONGC in its first match, while runner-up Sporting Clube de Goa, drawn in the bottom half, takes on Army XI in its opening fixture.

East Bengal has been drawn to meet Mohammedan Sporting, while Air-India clashes with Viva Kerala. — Special Correspondent
