JNUTA plea

NEW DELHI: The Jawaharlal Nehru University Teachers’ Association on Thursday submitted an appeal signed by 234 faculty members to Vice-Chancellor B.B. Bhattacharya drawing the university administration’s attention towards problems faced by the faculty, particularly relating to shortage of houses, health care and provident fund scheme.

The signatories to the appeal have also upheld the August 7 General Body Meeting resolution of JNUTA that called for revocation of the order bypassing the seniority of the JNUTA president for appointment to the post of chairperson of the Centre of Indian Languages, said a JNUTA release.
