Remand extended

NEW DELHI: A court here on Thursday extended the police remand of Ashok Malhotra, alleged kingpin of the multi-crore Delhi slum rehabilitation plot scam, by nine days.

The court also remanded Assistant Director of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, Sumer Chand Garg, who is an accused in a similar scam involving Malhotra in Badarpur, to nine-day custody of the Central Bureau of Investigation. Another MCD official, Phillip Toppo’s CBI remand was also extended by seven days.
