Heroin worth Rs. 5 crore recovered, two arrested

BANGALORE: The Central Division police on Thursday recovered a huge haul of heroin estimated at Rs. 5 crore in the international market. The police said five kg of heroin was recovered from two persons from Uttar Pradesh. They were arrested at K.R. Puram. Details pertaining to the individuals and their links to the local and international network were yet to be released.

Run over

A woman and a girl were run over by a train at Malur near here on Wednesday. The police said the bodies of the woman aged around 38 and the girl were recovered near railway track on Thursday.
