Temple fete

TIRUMALA: The three-day annual ‘Pavithrotsavams’ began at the Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirumala on Friday.

In connection with the annual event ‘snapana thirumanjanam’ was performed to the deities of Malayappa Swamy and his two divine consorts inside the temple. The priests also performed ‘Pavithra Pratishta’ on the first day which would be followed by ‘Pavithra Samarpana’ and ‘Poornahuti’ during the next two days.
