Communal Harmony Day celebrated

VANIYAMBADI: A total of 24 students donated blood and an NSS programme was inaugurated at Marudhar Kesari Jain College for Women at Vaniyambadi in Vellore to celebrate the Communal Harmony Day.

Inaugurating the NSS activities and the Red Ribbon Club, District Social Welfare Officer Saroja Thiruvengadam said women were above any caste, creed and language. Dr. Varadarajan of Ambur Government Hospital, inaugurated the blood donation camp. D. Karunakaran, principal, presided and Jhansi Rani, secretary, NSS, proposed a vote of thanks.
