KSLTA’s gesture to Poojashree

BANGALORE: Poojashree Venkatesh, who is set to leave for the US Open, was presented with a cheque of Rs. one lakh on behalf of the Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association by its joint secretary, P.R. Ramaswamy, here at the KSLTA Stadium on Friday.

Mr. Ramaswamy said that grant was being made to cover her expenses in the US and wished the young Mysorean good luck and expressed the hope that she would hugely benefit by playing the first junior Grand Slam event of her career.
