Man electrocuted

A lorry driver was electrocuted at ZTC Crossroads in Malkajgiri on Friday. The police said Md. Mastan Ali (46)parked his vehicle and was trying to cross the road when a high-tension wire snapped and fell on him.

Woman killed

A woman was killed after a motorcyclist hit her at Rajendranagar on Thursday. Rita Bhatnagar (56) of Upperpally was going to purchase vegetables along with her daughter when the accident took place, according to the police.

Housewife succumbs to burns

A housewife Ch. Balamani (22), who attempted suicide by setting herself ablaze at her house at Bapunagar in Amberpet on Thursday, died while undergoing treatment at Osmania General Hospital on Friday, the police said.

Unaccounted cash seized

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Friday seized an unaccounted sum of Rs. 16,300 from four private persons inside the Chikkadpally Sub-Registrar’s Office during a surprise check. The accused K. Ashok Kumar, R. Shyam Rao, P. Brahmam and Md. Kamruddin, were working as document writers.

Man falls in culvert and dies

A 29-year-old man died after falling in a culvert at Himayatnagar in Moinabad on Thursday. The police said the victim has been identified as K. Venkataiah, a labourer and resident of M. K. Pally.
