S.K. Agrawal

CHENNAI: S.K. Agrawal has been promoted as a Distinguished Scientist from the rank of an Outstanding Scientist in the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). He will continue to hold the post of Director (Projects) in the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL).

As Director (Projects) in the NPCIL, he is responsible for all the activities connected with the construction at Koodankulam, Tamil Nadu, of two Light Water Reactors (LWRs) of 1000 MWe capacity each imported from Russia; all future LWRs and Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs); joint ventures; and diversification activities of the NPCIL such as generation of electricity from wind mills, pumped storage schemes and hydel.
