International race in Kochi

KOCHI: The Kerala Yachting Association will conduct an international yacht race between Kochi and Maldives shortly.

In this connection, Kerala Sports and Ports Minister M. Vijayakumar will inaugurate the race office at Plakatt Colony, near Kadavanthra, on Saturday afternoon.

“A lot of yachtmen have been contacting us regarding the event. But since there are many formalities involved, many clearances to be got, we have not finalised the date of the international race,” said Eapen Vettath, the KYA working president.
