Municipal Commissioner Natarajan Gulzar on Friday asked officials of the Engineering Department to initiate steps for extension of underground drainage facility for people living on hill slopes in the city. Reacting to a plea by Machavaram Corporator and Deputy Mayor Anne Prasanna, who drew Commissioner’s attention to the need for an underground drainage facility for residents of the hill slopes, the Commissioner asked the officials to prepare estimates for the project.
