CPI (M) condemns attack

TIRUPATI: Chittoor district unit of the Students Federation of India and the Tirupati (rural) unit of the CPI (M) have strongly condemned the reported attack on Saturday on the state CPI (M) secretary, B. V. Raghavulu in Khammam village as he was participating in the second phase of the Bhoo Poratam. The SFI criticised that far from fulfilling its poll promise to distribute lands to the landless, the vested interests in the Government were inciting their ‘goons’ to unleash a reign of terror on the Left party leaders and cadres and warned that they would pay a heavy price for all these undemocratic and fascist actions. The CPI (M) burnt the Congress effigy in the BC colony in Tiruchanur.
