PUDUCHERRY: The Puduvai Pradesh Priyanka Gandhi Peravai has urged the Government to restore the free rice scheme to all. A release, issued by the organisation, said instead of providing the scheme only to the red ration cardholders, the Government should distribute rice to all cardholders irrespective of their economic background as was done earlier. The release further said the organisation would celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Pradesh Congress Committee president P. Shanmugham’s entry into public life and contributions to the progress of Puducherry. — Staff Reporter
