Trained tusker arrives

Correspondent

VIZIANAGARAM: The trained elephant from Chittoor arrived at Addamguda in G.L. Puram mandal in the district on Friday evening. Mahaouts and trackers began mock trial on how to guide the 11 wild elephants that have killed four tribals since August 13 to retreat, according to Divisional Forest Officer B. Ramana Babu, who is camping at Addamguda.

Mr. Babu said enthusiastic crowds were causing hindrance to the operation.

He said the pachyderms damaged four more huts at Antaraguda on Saturday night.
