Special trains to Chennai

Thiruvananthapuram: The Southern Railway will run a special train from Thiruvananthapuram Central to Chennai Egmore on August 26 to clear the rush of passengers during the Onam. The 0660 Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Egmore Special will leave from here at 7.15 p.m. to reach Chennai Egmore at 12.30 noon the next day, the railways says.

The 0660 special train will proceed via Nagercoil and Madurai and will have 10 Sleeper Class, three general Second Class and two Luggage-cum-break van coaches. The railways will also operate a special train from Nagercoil to Chennai Egmore on August 29. The 0614 train will leave Nagercoil at 1.30 p.m.Reservation for both the trains has begun.
