THENI: Funds have been sanctioned to primary schools to purchase teaching-learning equipment worth Rs.50,000. All primary schools that have implemented activity-based learning would get this fund, according to the Collector, Har Sahay Meena.
He was addressing an awareness meeting on ‘All Village Anna Renaissance’ scheme at Kothapatti in Andipatti taluk on Saturday.
The Government had already granted Rs.7,000 per school for maintenance under Sarva Siksha Abhyan. A special medical camp under the ‘Varumun Kaappom’ scheme would be conducted on November 10.
Approximately, 262 out of total 428 houses at the village were identified as below poverty line.
