THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The employees of State Bank of India, Kerala circle, have, in response to an appeal by the Chief Minister, contributed their one day’s salary, which comes to Rs.25 lakh, to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. The aim is to help the people affected by the recent natural calamities in the State. VS accepts cheque
Radha Unni, chief general manager of the bank, handed over a cheque for the amount to Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan at a simple function at his office today. Trinadha Rao, circle development officer; M. Sreenath, general secretary of SBI Officers Association; S. Vinayachandran, president of SBI Officers Association; John Joseph, general secretary, State Bank Staff Union; and Raja Kurup, president, State Bank Staff Union were also present at the function.
