A still from ‘Dasavatharam’.
CHENNAI: One has to wait for the best things in life. In the case of Kamal Hassan’s fans, this could particularly hold true with respect to ‘Dasavatharam’. The buzz among industry sources is that the much-awaited ‘multi-starrer’ is likely to hit the marquee only in January, during Pongal. With the shooting for the talkies portion of the film and a couple of song sequences completed, two songs remain to be shot. The crew is expected to wind up shooting soon. The post-production work, including graphics, is likely to stretch out for the next three months. Being the top-notch perfectionist, Kamal is said to have insisted on high-quality graphics work and fans could be in for a visual treat. The crew had shot a few scenes at SRM Dental College near Chennai recently. Though the production crew has maintained total secrecy over the project and shoot details, a few photos have, however, been doing the rounds in online fora. One of the photographs featured Kamal in a Punjabi attire performing a bhangra number. Fans may have to wait a bit longer for the “balle balle” though.
