Counterfeit notes worth Rs.5,500 seized; three arrested
NEW DELHI: Two young men have been arrested by the North-West Delhi police from Wazirpur here on charges of printing and circulating counterfeit currency.
Fake currency notes worth Rs.5,500, central processing unit, monitor and other raw material have allegedly been seized from their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, a trap was laid by the police near Netaji Subhash Place on Friday evening and a motorcyclist, later identified as Yogesh Kumar, was arrested at the instance of an informer.
Later, one Deepak Kumar was also arrested.
Other gang members
Three more members of the gang — Rajesh, Narender and Shambhu – had earlier been arrested on August 14 and counterfeit currency worth Rs.7,500 was allegedly seized from their possession then.
