BANGALORE: Armed men mugged a call centre executive in Vijayanagar police station limits early on Saturday. The police said that around 1 a.m. Arun Kumar got down from his company cab near Basaveshwara Kalyana Mantap. As he was walking home, four men stopped him, threatened him with a knife and robbed him of his gold chain, a ring and mobile phone. The Vijayanagar police have registered a case. Suicide
Krishna Murthy (35) of Kollegal in Chamarajanagar district committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in the Victoria Hospital compound early on Saturday. The police said Murthy’s wife Rajamma was to undergo surgery on Saturday. Murthy had paid the surgery charges to the hospital and also given some money to his wife before committing suicide. Stabbed
Nagesh was stabbed in the abdomen allegedly by his friend Raghavendra in Mahdevapura police station limits. The police said Raghavendra, Nagesh and their friend Chandrashekar took an autorickshaw from Malleswaram to Mahadevapura. On reaching Mahadevapura, the three had an argument over who should pay the fare. In a fit of rage, Ragahvendra stabbed Nagesh the police said.
