Pakistan recalls Warsi

Karachi: Pakistan has recalled penalty corner specialist Imran Warsi for the Asia Cup hockey tournament to be held in Chennai from August 31.

The selection committee of Pakistan Hockey Federation on Saturday announced an 18-member squad for the 11-nation tournament, in which Pakistan was initially reluctant to participate due to various reasons.

The Pakistan squad:

Rehan Butt (captain), Salman Akbar, Nasir Ahmed, Imran Warsi, Imran Khan, Yousufzai, M. Imran, Kashif Ali, Waqas Zafar, Haider Abbas, Yasir Islam, Mohammad Arshad, Waqas Sharif, Akhtar Ali, Tariq Aziz, Rana Asif, Mohammad Mudassar, Shakeel Abbasi. — PTI
