Pension for Anganwadi workers mooted Uniform curriculum for Anganwadis prepared
KANNUR: Minister for Health P.K. Sreemathy has said that the Women’s Development Corporation is planning to launch schemes aimed at providing more jobs to women, including those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and the minorities. Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the new block of building at the Ksheeradhara Dairy Farm started by the Rural Development Centre Mahila Samajam at Mavilayi here on Sunday, the Minister said that the Government was also seriously considering pension proposal for Anganwadi workers. Stating that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) Government was committed to the welfare of Anganwadi workers, she said that 6,800 new Anganwadis had been started during the past 14 months. The Minister also said that the Government had prepared a uniform curriculum for the Anganwadis.
