Aligning inner resources with company mission

Governor sees need to inculcate spirituality in corporate culture

BANGALORE: Governor Rameshwar Thakur on Sunday said there was a need to imbibe spirituality in corporate culture, and the corporate houses should not concentrate on maximising profits alone. Inaugurating a management seminar on “Spirituality in corporate culture—An emerging trend” jointly organised by the All World Gayatri Parivar and Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana here, he said: “Spirituality has nothing to do with religion and religious activities, and it is all about getting to know the inner-self of the individuals.”

The seminar had been organised with the objective of discussing the relevance of spiritual wisdom in the corporate culture, specially focussing on harnessing inner resources and aligning with organisation mission. It also aimed at encouraging corporate houses to integrate their efforts towards health, happiness and spiritual development of its employees

Ashusthosh Sahu, an event coordinator, told The Hindu that the event wanted to generate thoughts on the issue of imbibing spirituality in corporate culture by bringing together information techno- logy company executives and governm ent employees.

The head of All World Gayatri Parivar Pranav Pandya delivered the keynote address on spiritual excellence to promote maximum output in corporate affairs.
