Lightning kills boy

VIRUDHUNAGAR: Lightning struck a 13-year-old boy to death at Mugavoor near Tiruchuzhi on Sunday evening.

A. Karuppuraja, an 8th standard student of a high school at Pazhayanoor, was grazing cattle when the lightning struck.

Tiruchuzhi recorded the highest rainfall of 15.6 mm in the district followed by Aruppukottai 14.2, Watrap 4 and Sattur 3 mm.
