dated August 28, 1957: Retirement age

Mr. B.N. Datar, Minister in the Ministry of Home Affairs, said in the Rajya Sabha on August 26 that there was no proposal before the Government to raise the retirement age of its employees from 55 to 58 years. It was, however, the policy of the Government to grant extension of service liberally to engineering and technical personnel.
