Rupee ends firm

MUMBAI: The rupee pared part of initial gains but still ended firm at 41.0150/0250 against the U.S. currency on Monday, largely buoyed by firm Asian markets. In a fairly active trade at the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee moved in the range of 40.89 and 41.04 during the day after resuming sharply higher at 40.93/94 from Friday’s close of 41.09/10.

Initially, the rupee rallied on easing concerns over sub-prime mortgage crisis. — PTI
