VIJAYAWADA: As the funding for research on nanotechnology has increased considerably, the colleges have started various programmes to spread awareness among students in this respect. The Physics Association of the Andhra Loyola College (ALC) organised a State-level student seminar on nanotechnology on Monday, in which 53 students from colleges of all parts of the State participated. Talks on 16 different aspects of nanotechnology as topics were given for the students. Staff coordinator G. Sahaya Baskaran and head of the department of physics G. Srinivasa Rao said students would have plenty of opportunities in research and jobs also in the nanotechnology field in future.
