Protest against schoolgirl’s murder

Special Correspondent

SRINAGAR: For the fourth consecutive day, the posh localities of Jawahar Nagar and Ikhrajpora observed a complete shutdown to protest against the abduction and murder of Sabreena, a 10-year-old schoolgirl.

All shops and business establishments remained closed in the uptown localities, which hardly pay heed to strike calls given by Hurriyat leaders from time to time. From the local councillors to Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani, National Conference patron Farooq Abdullah to PDP president Mehbooba Mufti, many political leaders visited the girl’s house in the last four days.
