Kendriya Vidyalaya student wins top prize

MALAPPURAM: Rohit Ramachandran, a Plus One student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Malappuram, has won the first prize in the Jawaharlal Nehru Science Exhibition organised by the Chennai region of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangatan.

Rohit won the prize in the education-technology category by presenting a project by which he measured the distance between the data tracks on a CD using laser rays.

He will represent the Chennai region of Kendriya Vidyalayas in a national competition to be held at Indian Institute of Technology-Ghorakpur, in September.
