CUTTACK: The supplementary matriculation examinations 2007 of the State Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has been postponed once again. The exams are now rescheduled to begin from September 19 instead of September 4 as was scheduled earlier. The BSE authorities said that the exams were rescheduled in view of the disturbances in the BSE office earlier this month due to marksheet scandal involving the son of former School and Mass Education Minister Bishnu Charan Das. Demanding action against the erring BSE officials who had helped the Minister’s son to secure more marks in the annual high school certificate examination in May this year, the BSE employees had gone on strike for over a week and the work in the office was completely paralysed. It may be recalled here that the supplementary examinations that were earlier scheduled in the August were first postponed due to heavy rains and flash floods in some parts of the State. This is for the second time that the examinations have been postponed. At least 80,000 students across the state will appear for the examinations.
