Dera follower cremated

Bathinda: Gurjeet Singh Sukha, an ardent follower of the Dera Sacha Sauda chief, who immolated himself on Monday, was cremated on Tuesday.

Gurjeet’s sister tied a Rakhi on her brother’s wrist before the body was taken to the cremation ground.

Twenty-four-year-old Gurjeet immolated himself outside a gurdwara in village Bangi Nihal Singh Wala.

The youth took the extreme step as he was apparently perturbed over certain remarks of his father’s brother against Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, police said.
