Kochi: The Kerala Latin Catholic Association (KLCA) has accused Catholic Bishops in the State of trying to sacrifice the lives of ordinary believers to protect the worldly possessions of the Church. In a statement here on Tuesday, Association president Felix J. Pulloodan said Catholic Bishops were calling on the faithful to put their lives at stake to protect the possessions of this world. An ‘education rights protection rally’ organised by the Varappuzha archdiocese hardly had a 1,000 people despite the Archdiocese having about 2.5 lakh Catholics.
