Empty ammunition cases seized

CHENNAI: Security personnel at the Anna International terminal here seized 19 empty ammunition cases from a U.S.-bound passenger early on Tuesday.

The seized cases were handed over to the local police for further investigation.

According to Airport officials, the passenger, Hinmen Richard Carroll, holding an American passport, was on his way to board Air France flight (AF 201) early in the morning, around 1.30 a.m.

They found .22 mm ammunition empty cases numbering 15 and .9 mm empty ammunition cases numbering four. — Special Correspondent
