‘SBI cash deposit ratio highest in country’

Rajahmundry: Shyamal Acharya, General Manager, Hyderabad Circle, State Bank of India, has said that their cash deposit ratio of 96 per cent is highest among all SBI branches in the country.

He said deposits as well as advances had increased to 40 basis points and 15 basis points respectively by the end of this June.

Inaugurating Retail Assets and Small, Medium Enterprises Credit Centre in the main branch here on Tuesday along with Stressed Assets Resolution Centre attached to Cell with S.K. Chaudhuri, Deputy General Manger of Visakhapatnam Zone, he said that the centre would enable speedy sanction of loans and immediate disbursement thereof within a specified turn around time.

Market share

He said that the market share had gone up with `mission parivarthan’ and advances to agriculture sector from 18 to 24 per cent. The GM said that they were going to take up upgrading the ambience of all urban branches with air conditioned facility and for Rajahmundry, they have sanctioned Rs.90 lakhs.

He also mentioned that in last two years the above centre had sanctioned Rs.174 crores. Assistant General Managers P. Sudhakar Patro, Ramanjaneyulu, Subbarao, Bank union representative Murali and others participated in the programme.
