Jayalalithaa distributes land titles to cadres

recognition for service: AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa handing over land ownership documents to a party member from Virudhunagar in Chennai on Monday.

CHENNAI: All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary Jayalalithaa on Monday distributed land ownership documents to 174 party members from Virudhunagar district.

The ‘pattas’ for the land, originally belonging to AIADMK ward councillor R. Sivasankaran of Aruppukottai in Virudhunagar, were handed over at the party office here.

The beneficiaries had taken part in a protest on behalf of the party and had been jailed, according to a release.
