Shareholders approve ArcelorMittal merger

AMSTERDAM: Mittal Steel shareholders on Tuesday approved the merger with ArcelorMittal, paving the way for the merger between Mittal and Arcelor, expected to conclude later this year. Mittal Steel won approval from 98.8 per cent of its shareholders present or represented by proxy voting to merge with ArcelorMittal.
