The Hindu-Eenadu Lifestyle Show from Aug 31

The four-day exhibition will offer a variety of shopping options

HYDERABAD: The third edition of The Hindu-Eenadu Lifestyle Show 2007 will begin on August 31 at HITEX Centre in Madhapur.

Organised as part of The Hindu Metro Plus Lifestyle Show, South India’s largest consumer fair attracting over 80,000 visitors per day per city, the four-day exhibition with 200 stalls will showcase a variety of retail shopping options for the consumers at one place.

Announcing the event on Tuesday, the Vice-President, Advertisement, The Hindu V. Kalidas recounted the beginning and evolution of the Metro Plus Lifestyle shows and hoped that this year’s exhibition would succeed despite the p ost-blasts crisis Hyderabad was going through.

Promoting retail shopping, creating brand awareness, building brand equity, promoting trade affiliations between retailers and manufacturers, and providing a platform for the launch of any new technology or product or brand, related to lifestyle category are the stated objectives of the event.

A launch party was organised on Tuesday for the elite of Hyderabad as part of the event build up, with a fashion show as the prime attraction.

The products to be displayed include consumer electronics, home appliances, furniture and interiors, arts and handicrafts, computer and IT Products, automobiles and accessories, beauty and health products, home needs and allied products, fashion and textiles, jewellery, furnishings, resorts, banking and insurance, gardens and landscaping, bathroom fittings and kitchen accessories.

Event partners

The event is being presented by Samsung with IRest, General Motors, Ahsan Perfumes, www.teluguproperties.com and NCC Urban as associate partners, ETV2 as channel partner, Big 92.7 FM as radio partner, Hotel Kakatiya Sheraton and Towers as hospitality partner and Paramount airways as travel partner.

The Director of Eenadu I.Venkat, DGM, Samsung India Pvt Ltd B.S.Harish, Head of NCC Urban M.Venugopal and MD of SFP Kailas V. Savant were among those present on the occasion. Begun in Chennai in 2004, the show had grown to three cities in 2005 and to seven in 2006.

This year, the Lifestyle show will be held at 9 cities, namely Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Vijayawada, Bangalore, Vishakhapatnam and New Delhi, the last two cities being the latest additions.
