NEW DELHI: Different students’ organisations have announced their candidates for the upcoming elections to the Delhi University Students’ Union.
The National Students’ Union of India candidates are: Amrita (president), Devraj Tehlan (vice-president), Manish Choudhary (secretary) and Rinku Tanwar (joint secretary).
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has fielded Vikas Dahiya (president), Sumanlata Dagar (vice-president), Rohit Chahal (secretary) and Kapil Garg (joint secretary).
More candidates
The Indian National Students’ Organisation candidates are: Rajeev Kumar (president), Smridhi Sharma (vice-president), Dinesh Khapra (secretary) and Rohtash Chaudhary (joint secretary).
United Students, which contested the DUSU elections for the first time last year, is contesting only three posts now.
Women in the fray
While Nikhita Arora is their presidential candidate, Ekta Marwah will stand for the post of vice-president. Ritwik Agrawal will contest the post of secretary.
Delhi University goes to the polls on September 7 to elect a new students’ union.
