Held with fake currency

NEW DELHI: A 60-year-old man has been arrested at Khajoori Khas here for allegedly being in possession of counterfeit currency. According to the police, accused Israr bought meat from a shop in Shri Ram Colony on August 22 and gave the shopkeeper a 1,000-rupee note. The shopkeeper later discovered that the note was a fake. On Monday, Israr again visited the shop and gave him a fake note. Shopkeeper Mustkin Ahmed reported the matter to the police and Israr was arrested.
