‘Similar tactics in Mudigonda’

Similar tactics resorted to by Government in Mudigonda

‘Activists of CPI (M) would not fear suppression’

Sangareddy: Communist Party of India (Marxist) Medak district committee organised a remembrance day meet at the party office here commemorating the Basheerbagh power struggle that took the life of three protesters six years ago. Party district secretariat members Rajaiah and B.Mallesh offered floral tributes to the three martyrs and observed two minutes of silence.

Addressing the party workers Rajaiah pointed out that the Basheerbagh event has instilled such fear in the Governments that no one ever dared to hike power tariff again. Mallesh said that the present Congress Government has resorted to similar kind of tactics in Mudigonda recently to suppress the ongoing ‘Bhoo Poratam’. He warned the Government that the activists of CPI (M) would not fear suppression.

DYFI’s Raksha Bandhan

On the other hand the members of Democratic student federation (DYFI) organised a ‘Raksha Bandhan for Peace’ programme near the New Bus stand. Girl students tied the first Rakhi to the town Sub Inspector Sridhar Reddy.
