Bharat seeks anticipatory bail
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: Bharat, the ING Vysya Bank employee who is accused of sexually harassing his colleague Shailaja Praveen, who committed suicide two days ago, has moved the Karnataka High Court for anticipatory bail.
Shailaja, who was working in the bank’s Basavanagudi branch, had reportedly complained to her superiors in the bank about Bharat.
Following Shailaja’s suicide, members of the National Commission for Women had visited the bank premises and asked the officials to ensure that Bharat, who was absconding, surrendered to the police.
