BJP meet on urban local body polls

BANGALORE: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will hold a two-day brainstorming session of its district-level election management committees here from Wednesday to decide on its strategy for the urban local body elections.

Senior party leaders, including State president D.V. Sadananda Gowda and Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, will participate in the meeting, which will analyse the party’s prospects in each district. The party will than launch a poll campaign tour from September 1 to 10. — Special Correspondent
