TDP chief, family pray at Tirumala

Staff Reporter

A grand reception awaits the new couple at Naravaripalle

Tirumala: TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu, accompanied by his newly wed son and daughter-in-law, her parents and other family members, offered prayers at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara on Tuesday morning.

The TTD Joint Executive Officer G. Balaramaiah Deputy Executive Officer R. Prabhakar Reddy and other officials received them at the Vaikuntam queue complex and escorted them into the temple.

‘Vedasirvachanams’

Soon after the darshan of the lord, temple priests showered ‘Vedasirvachanams’ on the new couple at the Ranganayakula mandapam in the temple complex.

Later talking to the mediapersons at Padmavathi guest house, where he was housed the previous night, Mr. Naidu said that the entire property atop the sacred shrine should belong to the presiding deity and there should not exist any private properties.

Later, they drove down to Naravaripalle, the native village of Mr. Naidu, where a grand reception awaited the new couple.
