CHENNAI: Qualifier Mohit Mayur defeated the top seed Sidharth Kaushik 7-6(4), 6-4 in a boys’ under-18 first round match of the AITA Talent Series JH Tarapore-TTC tennis tournament at the DG Vaishnav College courts here on Tuesday.

The results: First round: Men: B. Senthil Kumar bt A.G. Suresh Kumar 6-0, 6-2; K. Kumaravel bt J. Vinod 6-3, 6-3; Ajay Selvaraj bt Sidharth Kaushik 6-1, 6-1; Md. Fariz bt Sayeekrishna 6-1, 6-0.
